Made this a little while back and it was awesome. Best dessert I’ve ever made. Definitely worth it between the time it takes to make it and getting the ingredients. I’d recommend using milk chocolate for the topping though as it’s sweeter if you don’t really like bitter chocolate.

This recipe has many flaws. The crust and absolute terrible, very dry (not in the good way), and EXTREMELY salty. The caramel is great, but mine turned out a little over done with the recommended cook temp.

No really. There was a comment about using golden syrup instead of corn syrup and that's why the caramel "didn't adhere to the cookie" (Was that in the video?), another saying you should *rub unmelted butter* into the flour and there's a reason why, and another complaining about him salting caramel, making him a "barbarian". Let me reiterate that none of the three provided any reason at all to convince other people that they're right, other than elitist confidence.

Noooooo no no no. Corn syrup does not give the caramel the right consistency at all. You need to use golden syrup for the correct consistency and taste. Tsk your caramel was too hard and didn't adhere well to the cookie for a reason.
